My name is Mervin Roxas and I believe that the greatest asset of all organizations are its people. Therefore, ensuring that workers are trained, equipped, and supported, is the cornerstone of high performing teams.
I have been fortunate enough to serve this country with the United States Marine Corps. Having worked with outstanding leaders and been immersed in the Marine Corps values, my mindset has been shaped for the long haul as I continue to serve in the health and human service industry. Today, I devote my efforts into helping teams succeed by building a culture of safety in their organization.
Well-established organizations, as well as startups, face a common enemy: Complacency.
Lack of training, over-reliance on policies without management enforcement, or simple luck through the absence of past incidents, can cause an organization to be unprepared to respond to a major incident. Worker injuries, reputational damage, disruption to organizational activities, erosion of profits, and increased staff turnover are a few examples of the result of complacency.
Helping your organization build resilience and the capability to prevent and/or respond to a crisis means establishing an effective health and safety management system. Teams win when situational awareness is increased, lives are valued, risks are mitigated, and morale is high. Superior performance is within your grasp. Let’s go.
